Hello everyone,
My name is Amanda Kohler, also known as AJ Kohler. AJ is my stage name. I'm a 26 year old home maker and student. I'm also a country music singer, thus the mention of my stage name. I've been a fan of Phantom of The Opera since I was in high school. I've, regretably, only seen it performed live twice. But, I have been to the actual theater that the events of the story took place. I was only able to see the lobby, but it is beautiful! I'm from a small town in upstate ny, about an hour from Syracuse. I grew up on a farm, the daughter of a local legendary country singer. Those are big shoes to fill, I only wish I had The Phantom to help me further develope my singing.

I salute you 4 choosing Erik, the oly thing I would have to disagree with you on is the fact that Raoul is sweet and all of that crap. No offense meant, you r still a awesome person! :) Out of random curiosity, have you read the book? You probably have but... I found it rather amusing that Gaston Leroux, the author himself, said that 'Raoul had a complexion like a girl.' Hee Hee! It sais that when he first introduces Raoul. Hee Hee. Anyways, I thought it was amusing.

Enough about Erik. Raoul.

I am not a Raoul phangirl. The Persian is my man of choice (hence the screen name), but I am certainly a Raoul defender. He's a good guy and if forced to choose between him and Erik, I would choose Raoul. I am creative enough, I think, for the both of us, IMO. Besides, Raoul provides stabilty, something Erik could never offer. Also, Raoul has blue eyes and from what I hear, they look rather nice. In comparison to Erik's yellow eyes, I'd go with the blue eyes. I'm one of those people who has an eye obsession.

Also, Raoul is a sweetheart.

im very disgusted...no comment. Phantom has blue eyes too. are you color blind?

Okay, Raoul can be a bit of an idiot sometimes but here's a reason why we all love Erik...he's the right side of danger. Raoul can be sweet and kind but it would be a preety dull life leaving the opera and the music you love so much just to be a Vicomtess and raise children. We all like adventure and a touch of danger which is what Erik offers. Also he's older and doesn't give up. He would never deny Christine anything and if you married Erik, life would never be dull or passionless, routine just wouldn't exist unless you wanted it too and, let's face it ladies, that'd surely be one hell of a life. ;)

The year is 1880, It's been almost 10 years since the devastating fire at the Opera Populair. Though the story is starting to be forgotten, the opera house has been abandoned. No one goes near the cursed Opera House. For they fear that the ghost of the Phantom still haunts it.

But life still continues, many of those who worked at the Opera Populair have either moved to work at the Opera Magnificant or have taken up new jobs. But there is one person who hasn't moved on. The Phantom; Erik Claudin.

Still broken from when he let Christine go, he is in constant torment from loosing her. Though he has left a lot of his life behind. He is unable to fully leave the Opera house which he called home for so long. The police still search for him, so he is always on his guard. Though he sees death as a release for his pain and would gladly welcome it. If not for her

Her voice is so soft and pure that it has captivated the Phantom. He watches over her listening to her voice, feeling his heart break as he hears the pain within. He sees a sadness and lonliness that he recognises in himself. He wants to help free her. But the only way he can, is to once again become the Angel of Music.

I'm a newbie and I'm thrilled to find this forum. I do love the colors and the way this forum is layed out.

At any rate, I'm a phantom phan myself, and although I'm not a teenager I've collected so much phantom memoribilia I had to start buying the appropriate storage containers for it all. :o

I'd like to welcome anyone who wants - to check out the new website that will be up and running very soon. It's taken me some time to get things together for it. I hope it proves to be a bit different than some of the phantom websites.

I'm glad to be here and I hope that I can fit in and jump right in with the rest of you! :)
