Daniel Badeau
Giselle clearly was trying to make conversation without hurting Daniel’s feeling. "No, that's fine.. I mean there's bathrooms here you can wash up in, but don't be shy. It's not worth it. My family once had to live on a farm so it's not like I've never seen dirt before. Anyway...." But she was struggling for words. Daniel had never been a talkative person and usually the few conversations he had were awkward, but Giselle had managed to make him less conscientious.
He didn’t want to bore Giselle or let her think he was a bit dim-witted when in fact he was extremely knowledgeable. “Have you been here long?” Daniel added in the mist of their uncomfortable silence. His voice was slightly monotonous and held a lack of emotion only rising in pitch once or twice.

“Have you been here long?”
"Well, not really. I've gotten to know a few people...not very many though. I do like this place though. It's like a palace. Everything is very shiney"she smiled. "And you?"

"Well, not really. I've gotten to know a few people...not very many though. I do like this place though. It's like a palace. Everything is very shiny. And you?" Giselle said smiling at him. Daniel was surprised she actually wanted to speak with him. Doesn't she see that I'm boring? And plus look at me… He didn't smile back but gave an inquisitive look with his bright blue eyes, wondering what she was thinking about him. Giselle seemed like a sweet girl, but actions can be deceiving.
He brought his hand to the back of his head, looked down at the wooden floor again, and scratched his scalp. “Well…I haven’t been here long either…” Daniel began in his thick French accent as he stopped scratching his head and looked back at her. “I haven’t really seen much but the dorms…” he let his hand travel around the room and cleared his throat then continued, “And I went out to the gardens once…but that’s it…” He felt stupid that both of them were standing there. I should probably invite her to sit. “But it’s seems very calm and serene here…from what I’ve seen. Do you want to sit?” Daniel asked as he glanced at the bed quickly then walked to the window sill and sat himself down, waiting for her to sit at the bed.

She nodded gently, pushing her now silky shoulder length hair back. "Yes it is nice...Imagine the people that must have been here before us. I've heard this place has been here for a long time" she said. She looked toward the space on the bed and nodded. "If you don't mind"

Giselle nodded and pushed her brown hair behind her ears. "Yes it is nice...Imagine the people that must have been here before us. I've heard this place has been here for a long time" she said, looking at the bed where Daniel had pointed. "If you don't mind." Giselle lowered onto the bed.
Daniel pulled his legs up onto the window sill and crossed them over one another. Light was shining brightly through the open window down into the dim lit room. “I don’t really know anything about Opera or the Opera Houses’ history…I’m just a stage hand here.” Daniel was surprised at his ease of conversation. He did find talking to women less difficult than men.

Giselle raised an eyebrow, then nodded. "Well, how did you get here?" She was intersted on how a 14 year old boy got a job like a stage hand here.

She seemed a little taken back by what Daniel had said. Lifting one of her eyebrow, Giselle nodded and said, "Well, how did you get here?" Daniel’s eyes widened a little as he thought about what had happened throughout his short lived life. He recalled the orphanage and how the other children had treated him. Answering the question seemed frightening.
Daniel had become more at ease with Giselle, but this question brought them back to square one. “Um…I…I found my way here…” He hoped that his answer would sustain her from asking more, but one could only hope. Giselle didn’t seem like the kind of girl to dismiss the way he answered.

“Um…I…I found my way here…”
She laughed slightly. "Everyone fonds their way here. I meant how did you get here, but I think that's none of my bussiness." She shrugged, her eyes looking out the window.

Giselle laughed at Daniel and said, "Everyone finds their way here. I meant how did you get here, but I think that's none of my business." He gave her an uneasy glance then took in a deep breath. At least she knows her boundaries. he thought, trying to calm down. I should at least answer for part of it…
Daniel exhaled and spoke, “Well, I traveled here…it took a long time because I had no idea where I was going…the opera house seemed as good a place as any…and now I have a roof over my head.” Oh darn! He let it slip that he hadn’t had a home previous to living at the opera house. Instead of showing his regret, Daniel twisted his waist and looked out the sun basked window.

Daniel BadeauHe knew it. Giselle looked at him with worry and concern. "You were homeless?" Daniel placed his right elbow onto his knee and rested his chin in the cup of his hand sighing and looking out at the beautiful sunset. Why do things like this have to happen? I should have stayed on the streets… "Oh...poor boy." Giselle said shaking her head. He didn’t need sympathy or pity; he could take care of himself. Daniel had had to help himself at the orphanage. God knew that the owners never stopped the other children from harming him. "Well at least you're here now, aren't you" Daniel watched out of the corner of his eye as she smiled welcomingly at him and with sympathy. The thought of his experience at the orphanage was unbearable to say the least. Reminiscing on the years of torture and torment filled Daniel with misery. He lifted his head and lowered his arm slowly turning back toward her, his blue eyes lost of emotion and looking down. “Yeah, I’m here…” OOC: LotteGirl - try to make your posts longer. Andrew Patillio
Andrew knocked lightly on the wooden door of Dormitory 2, his new abode. Rata tat tat. As the petite, raven-haired young man passed through the doorway, he heard another young man remark “Yeah, I’m here…”.
"Well, so am I." Andrew said softly, placing his baggage on the floor. "Um....hi. I'm Andrew, Andrew P-p-p-patillio." he stuttered, nervous as heck to be meeting new people that he would have to live with for a long time.
Andrew longed to be sitting at the gorgeous Grand Piano in the Opera Populaire's auditorium, doing what he did best: playing. He imagined himself sitting at that piano, that sleek, beautiful, black piano, his fingers poised on the keys, ready to play the minuet. Suddenly, he found himself back in reality, in a dormitory room, facing a bunch of new, foreign people.

Daisy Evans
Placing her hand gently on the door to her dorm, Daisy felt her ring press up against the wood. Smiling to herself, Daisy pushed the door open and met a group of people, all unique to one another and in conversation.
She felt the rays of sun that dripped out of the window catch her ring and smiled. How lucky am I, she thought, to be engaged to such a great man? Sea blue eyes sparkled as Daisy sat on her bed and made her self comfortable. Opening up her napsack, she pulled out a black hair scrunchie and started to put her long, blonde hair into a ponytail.
"Hello, everyone," she said, speaking to anyone who would listen, really. "How's your day been?"

Andrew Patillio
Andrew swung his head around to look as a young woman entered the dormitory and sat down on her bed. A very beautiful young woman.
"Hello, everyone. How's your day been?" She smiled, putting her hair into a ponytail.
"Um, hi. What's your name?" Andrew asked nervously. "I'm Andrew....Patillio. Andrew Patillio. And.....um.....my day's been okay, I suppose. But what about you? How have you been?" Just then, Andrew's orbs noticed the ring on her left hand. How more stupid could you be, Andrew? She's already been promised to another man! There's no way she would even speak to you! She's too good for you, Andrew, too good for you.

Daisy Evans
Daisy grinned as a young man started to talk to her. The look in his eyes said to her that h was shy and nervous, something she had never been. Be kind, Daisy.
"Um, hi. What's your name?"
"Daisy Evans," she replied in her loud, accented voice. There was a sparkle in her eyes and a smile on her lips as she thought, Well, Daisy Granger soon, actually.
"I'm Andrew....Patillio. Andrew Patillio. And.....um.....my day's been okay, I suppose. But what about you? How have you been?"
"Hi Andrew," she said to him, grinning at his nervousness. She had never met anyone as shy as him before. Her mother had been a rather quiet person, but she didn't stutter as poor Andrew did. "I like that name, Andrew. My day's been fine, exept for God awful ballet practice. But I've been living with ballet for nearly ten years now, so I guess I can live with it. . . ."
She paused, then took the scrunchie out of her hair. I really don't need a ponytail. I'm just going to kick back and relax, anyway.
Daisy noticed Andrew eye her ring. She smirked and said to him, "I don't mean to brag, but it is pretty fancy, huh?" Her voice stayed quiet as she thought of her fiancee, Luis.

Andrew Patillio
Andrew smiled at the girl, who he was about to find out was named Daisy. "Daisy Evans," "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Daisy." He slowly extended his hand for her to shake.
"Hi Andrew. I like that name, Andrew. My day's been fine, exept for God awful ballet practice. But I've been living with ballet for nearly ten years now, so I guess I can live with it. . . ."
"Thank you, Daisy. You are too kind. But you are a ballet dancer here? A wonderful profession indeed." He stood above Daisy akwardly, unsure of whether to sit or stand.
"I don't mean to brag, but it is pretty fancy, huh?" The blonde asked, indicating her ring. "Indeed it is. Who is the lucky man?"

Daisy Evans
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Daisy."
Peach colored hand in his, Daisy shook Andrew's hand polielty and thought of just how many nice people there were at the Opera House. Forget Nadia, just look at how many friends you have.
"The pleasure is all mine, Andy." She smirked at the young man, waiting to see if he would like his nickname or not. She lifted up her right index finger, then started to swirl a stray piece a gold hair around. She smiled at Andrew, who was now standing over her, looking very unsure of himself. He seems very nice, she thought, just very shy.
"Thank you, Daisy. You are too kind. But you are a ballet dancer here? A wonderful profession indeed."
"A wonderful position, but a very boring one. Dancing has never really been my thing. At least not ballet." Daisy thought of her life back home, where she had once lived on that little farm near Paris. She remembered her father's words, the ones her told her just before he became sick with her mother an passed away.
"You are a beautiful singer, and don't let anybody tell you you aren't. Understand, Annie?"
Tears welling up in her large eyes, Daisy felt herself practically shrink in front of Andrew. How coul she have done that? She let those fools that they call managers tell her that she couldn't sing. Dad would be so dissapointed in me!
Daisy was startled when Andrew spoke again. "Indeed it is. Who is the lucky man?" He was talking about her ring. Oh, Luis! If only he could be here right now. . . .
"Luis Granger," she told her friend quietly, "He's a bit older than me, but I know he really loves me."
And that's just what Daisy needed right now.

Andrew Patillio
Andrew gently shook Daisy's hand, then released his grip. My first friend here. He smiled at the thought. "The pleasure is all mine, Andy." She smirked. Andrew smiled. "If you wish to call me that, Daisy, then you may."
"A wonderful position, but a very boring one. Dancing has never really been my thing. At least not ballet."
"Really? You seem really interested in it. What's your thing, then, if not ballet? I thought that a dancer had to be immersed in their one love; dancing. Why do you spend all your time dancing if you do not love it?"
"Luis Granger. He's a bit older than me, but I know he really loves me." She said quietly. Andrew walked over and sat on his own bed, which happened to be next to his new friend's. "He is very lucky indeed, Daisy. When is the wedding?"

"Really? You seem really interested in it. What's your thing, then, if not ballet? I thought that a dancer had to be immersed in their one love; dancing. Why do you spend all your time dancing if you do not love it?"
"You see, Andy," she told her friend in a very low voice, "I really wanted to sing here. But the managers. . . .well, they didn't think I could sing. Phah! I could sing much better than any of those other girls." She sighed, closed her eyes tightly, then continued her story. "So I became a ballerina. I really didn't like it, but I couldn't leave because I had no family to go back to."
Daisy opened her eyes, and she watched as Andrew sat down on his own bed, which was right next to hers. She started to adjust her dark blue shirt and stared down at the huge holes in her jeans; she would have to get those fixed tomorrow. Daisy really didn't care how she looked. If people didn't like, then they didn't have to look, did they?
"He is very lucky indeed, Daisy. When is the wedding?" asked Andrew suddenly. She looked up at him and smiled, the tears not gone from her eyes. "We haven't decided on a date yet, but knowing Luis I'd say it will be very soon. I hope it will be soon, anyway. . . ."
