Emmalie
Emmalie walked into the foyer with a dancer's grace. As always, she had her leotard on with a denim mini-skirt and black shrug that went well with her lavender leotard. She didn't have shoes on and her convertible tights were rolled half-way up her shins.
She smiled and looked around, so glad to be at the Opera House. She was suprised not to see anyone besides herself walking through the foyer. Where could everyone be? She wondered as she looked at the art hung on the wall. Emma hoped somebody would come through soon.

Malachai
Malachai Sullivan was just learning his way around the opera house. The irish teenager stepped ino the main foyer wearing black pants and a white dress shirt. He was actually being casual today - usually he always had a tie and is shirt was tucked in, but today he felt that exploring didn't call for his usual attire.
Upon entering the foyer he saw another person. Excellent, he thought, Another person. His intense green eyes watched the girl as he walked up behind her almost noislessly. "Hello, there," he said to the girl who was obviously a dancer, given her attire. He stayed a few large steps awa from her as an act of respect. "I'm Malachai Sullivan," he added, thinking he should introduce himself. He hoped the girl could understand him. Sometimes his accent was too thick for people to understand what he was saying.

Emmalie Duboise
Emmalie spun around as she heard a voice behind her, Hello, there," Emmalie looked up at the man who had spoken to her. He was a bit taller than her with dark hair and from what she noticed in a glance, shocking green eyes. She smiled at him, carefully avoiding his gaze "I'm Malachai Sullivan," She nodded, the man, Malachai as he had introduced himself, had a thick irish accent but she didn't have a problem understanding him.
"Emmalie Duboise." She said simply, feeling the smooth marble floor with her bare foot, "Are you new here?" she asked, she had only met a few other people and this man was new to her. She hadn't seen him around. She tucked a piece of her wavy blonde hair behind her ear and she looked over his clothes, he had black pants and a nice dress shirt on, Does he always dress so elegant? She wondered, starting to feel a bit odd wearing what she was.

Malachai Sullivan
"Emmalie Duboise."
Malachai prepared to give the girl a broad smile, but she took one glance at him and looked away, then didn't look at him again. This confused him, as everyone he had known in his small town was friednly and looked you in the eye. Did I offend her? he wondered, worried.
"Are you new here?"
Malachai started to nod, then remembered that she wasn't looking at his face. "Ah, yes, I am," he said. He stuck his hands in his pockets and gently whistled a tune. Awkward, he thought. She seemed so. . .antisocial. "Are you?" he asked, interested in this girl who he hoped would be his friend.
Malachai thought that friendship was a tricky thing. He had friends, he supposed, back in Ireland, but they were more like buddies. With them he joked around, pulled pranks, and had snuck into the pubs late at night. those people probably never thought of him, and he never thought of them. They had never been very close, just pals. When his dad had died his 'best mate' said, "Sorry 'bout your Da," and gave him a beer. But then again, girls were an odd specimen. Sometimes they wer eunpredictable and moody, but after goring up with a brother and a sister he found that girls listened better. On the other hand, with girls there was always a threat of feelings.

Emmalie Duboise
Emmalie got the sense of akwardness that had become familiar to her over the years. Ever since the incident when she was younger she didn't look people in the eyes and beacuse of that people got uncomfortable.
"Ah, yes, I am," he said, answering her question. He put his hands in his pockets and wistled a soft tune "Are you?"
She smiled and looked up towards his face, carefully avoiding his eyes. "Yeah, I just got here from New York a few weeks ago." she replied, smiling at him. She really tried to give him the feeling that she was friendly but she knew it was hard for people to believe.
"So, are you here to sing?" she asked, he seemed like a singer. Emma wasn't sure why.

Malachai Sullivan
"Yeah, I just got here from New York a few weeks ago."
Emmalie looked at his face, but still not his eyes. She did, however, smile. If he had known her better, he would have told her not to smile or her face might break, but he wasn't close enough to joke with her. Yet. "Ah, another new person!" he said, "Perfect! I'm fresh from Ireland myself, only just got here a few days ago"
"So, are you here to sing?"
Malachai nodded, grinning. "Yes ma'me. I'll be singing here for a while. Good guess," he told her. "And you're a dancer, right?" he asked, judging by the way she dressed. This girl seemed like she might be nice, but Mal had no clue until she opened up. Somehow he knew it was going to be as hard as it looked to get her to do that.

Emmalie Duboise Emmmalie noticed Malachai hesitate as if he was going to say something else but decided against it,
"Ah, another new person! Perfect! I'm fresh from Ireland myself, only just got here a few days ago"
She laughed quietly, "Ireland... I've always wanted to go there." It had been one of the places that Emmalie's mother and herself had dreamed of going someday but had never gotten around to.
"Yes ma'me. I'll be singing here for a while. Good guess, And you're a dancer, right?"
She smiled back at him and replied sarcasticly, "No I just wear the leotard and tights for kicks." She winked at the man. The whole while avoiding his eyes, she looked down at her hands which were folded infront of her hip.

Malachai Sullivan
"Ireland... I've always wanted to go there."
Do I detect a twinge of sadness? Malachai thought at Emmalies soft words. "Well maybe you still will. You're young yet. What are you, sixteen? Seventeen?" he asked, curious.
"No I just wear the leotard and tights for kicks."
Malachai laughed when she answered his question about her profession. "I thought so. Me too, only mine are at the cleaners," he told her jokingly, returning her wink with one of his own. he was glad that she was being friendly, but he was still concerned that she never looked him in the eye since they had met.
"I'm sorry, Miss Duboise, but did I offend you in any way? I just notice that you haven't looked at me yet, not really, and I never meant to do anything to offend you," he told her, hoping he didn't do anything too bad.

Emmalie Duboise
"Well maybe you still will. You're young yet. What are you, sixteen? Seventeen?"
Emmalie smiled, "I'm sixteen." she smiled, "What about you? Seventeen?" she asked, studying him a little closer.
"I thought so. Me too, only mine are at the cleaners,"
Emmalie laughed brightly at his remark, "You'd look good in tights." she smirked.
"I'm sorry, Miss Duboise, but did I offend you in any way? I just notice that you haven't looked at me yet, not really, and I never meant to do anything to offend you,"
She bit her lip and looked at the floor. This topic came up everyone once in a while, a bit too much for her liking. She sighed, "No, it's just me. I just... I'm... bad childhood." She gave him a small but reassuring smile. "You didn't do anything wrong. Not a thing."

Malachai Sullivan
"I'm sixteen. What about you? Seventeen?"
Malachai smiled. "You're two for two. Are you sure you're not stalking me or anything?" he said. Then, in respons to his tights remark, she laughed brightly, making Malachai smile harder. She has a pretty laugh, he thought, his eyes flickering to her cute smirk, How often can I hear it?
"No, it's just me. I just... I'm... bad childhood. You didn't do anything wrong. Not a thing."
Malachai's smile faded a little. Bad childhood? he thought. he had never known such a thing, and his interest piqued. You don't know her, remember, don't scare her he reminded himself, and returned her small smile.
"So could you show me around sometime?" he asked her, thinking she wanted a change of topic. He certainly would if it was for him.

Rose Salatoriello
Rose entered the foyer, and turned in a full circle, her eyes observing and taking everything in. She exhalted in the beauty, and she smiled brightly. The Opera was truly amazing. Rose spotted Emmaline, and a handsome man she did not know.
Rose moved over to them, brushing her short dark blue hair back, influencing her startling azure eyes. The two seemed to be in deep conversation and Rose didn't really want to interrupt, but she nodded slightly to them, and asked in a delicate tone, "Mind if I join this little pow-wow?" She smiled brightly.

Emmalie Duboise
"You're two for two. Are you sure you're not stalking me or anything?"
Emmalie laughed, "Not yet, but that's a pretty good idea." She smiled at him, his smiled faded a little at her explination but Emma was grateful for his change of topic,
"So could you show me around sometime?"
She nodded, "Yeah sure, I think I've figure out my way around this place. There are so many corridors, it's crazy."
"Mind if I join this little pow-wow?" Emmalie turned and saw Rose, whom she'd met in the corridor. She nodded, "Yeah sure." She smiled up at her found friend of the Opera House. "Rose, this is Malachai." She turned to Malachai, "This is Rose."

Malachai Sullivan
Malachai smiled when she agreed to show him around sometime. Then, out of nowhere it seemed, another girl joined him.
"Mind if I join this little pow-wow?"
Malachai saw a girl with big blue eyes and hair to match. Wow he thought, having never quite seen anyone with blue hair before. Only green on St. Patrick's day.
"Yeah sure. Rose, this is Malachai. This is Rose."
Malachai offered Rose a charming smile. "It's a pleasure," he said, extending his hand to her politely. His intense green eyes flicked over blue hair again, very intrigued by anyone who would do that to their hair.

Rose Salvatoriello
"Yeah sure. Rose, this is Malachai. This is Rose."
Malachai offered Rose a charming smile, and Rose returned it, her white teeth flashing. "It's a pleasure," Rose nodded, and replied politely "Same to you, monsieur Malachai." Ros eran her long fingers through her hair, and grinned. "So forgetting the pleasantries, how do you two find the Opera? Quite fascinating, eh?" Rose smiled again, her good nature shinging through.

Emmalie Duboise
"So forgetting the pleasantries, how do you two find the Opera? Quite fascinating, eh?"
Rose asked, obviously in a good mood. Emma glanced around the huge foyer, "It's amazing. I've never seen anything like it." She smiled and glanced up at Rose, carefully avoiding her eyes as usual. She glanced at Malachai and smiled, she decided that he was her favorite person she had met so far.

Malachai Sullivan
"Same to you, monsieur Malachai."
Malachaiwatched with fascination as Rose slid her fingers through her blue hair. Blue hair is so cool, he thought, wishing he had the guts to do something like that. But he didn't, and he knew it, so his hair would forever remain black.
"So forgetting the pleasantries, how do you two find the Opera? Quite fascinating, eh?"
"It's amazing. I've never seen anything like it."
Malachai nodded in agreement, smiling back at Emmalie. "It really is," he agreed. He loved the opera house, the opera, and and so far everyone he had met. Which was only two people, but he was ignoring that fact. Actually, he knew nothing about Rose, but she had awesome hair, so she was automatically cool.
"How long have you been hee, Rose?" he asked, hwonderng if she had been there long or was as new as him.

Alayna Philips
Alayna walked into the main foyer gracefully and quietly, in one hand was a pen and the other was paper, just in case inspiration struck, like it always did when she least expected it too. She noticed about 3 other people talking, she almost walked over to them, just to say hi, but she remembered that she hadn't written anything in days.
"There will be plenty of time to talk later, but right now I've got to at least write something. Maybe I'll talk to somebody after I write a verse or if inspiration strikes me today...a whole song." She said quietly to herself as she sat down on the bottom step of the grand staircase.
She set her paper out in front of her and the pen on the paper as she waited for inspiration to come to her. She tapped her foot on the ground and hummed an old melody her father made up when she was younger, it had always cheered her up when she was down. She supported her head with her hand and looked down at the blank paper in front of her.
"Come on inspiration...hit me, I'm an open target." she whispered jokingly to nobody.
Forget it, I'd be much more fun talking to people I can meet for the first time.
She stood up and walked over towards the three people talking.
"Hey, I'm Alayna." She said with a shy smile.
