I was just wondering, what do you think of the diva, Carlotta? And please, no replies like "Carlotta SUCKS" or "She sounds like a DYING CAT". If you're going to bash the character, don't d o it here. If you don't like her, give an intelligent reason of *why* you don't.
So, what *do* you think of her?

I think Carlotta is just like the sterotype of all Prima Donnas. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with her singing like i get it's annoying how high she goes and stuff but I work our local opera and that's only a little overdone compared to regular opera stars. I don't know, so I don't understand the whole "dying cat" thing.
I love her character and how demanding she is and is like "My way or no way."
I love her character just for that reason. Her attitude.

Yeah, she sounds like a regualar Opera singer. And when you help with two Opera's a year for 9 years you get used to the whole Opera Singing thing. :-p
Bring ma doggie and ma boxie.

I absolutely *love* Carlotta!! She is so hilarious, the way she is kind of the stereotypical angry Italian, and I don't think her voice is bad at all! She is not a bad singer, she's only a little overbearing, and people are annoyed by that.

I think she's funny. She's a very dramtic person who needs attention to live.
Her voice isn't HORRIBLE, just somewhat annoying. And (although I don't think this) many people think Emmy Rossum's is the same way.
Now, if your talking about Lerox Carlotta, her voice is horrible and untrtained.

Where, in Leroux, does it say that? I haven't read the book in a while, but it never says she's undertrained or anything. In fact, the novel says little about La Carlotta.
I personally like Carlotta. She's funny and talented. I think that in the film, Erik just wants her out of the way so Christine can get the limelight. Heck, I think it's that way in all the versions. But then, books don't sing, so... *ahem* Yeah, Carlotta's cool.
