Personally, I love this couple. Does anyone else here? If so, what attracts you to it? I suppose what attracts me to it is the lust and security...what do you like about it, though?

I do love this couple beacuse they have a seduction towards eachother that Raoul and Christine never seem to be able to have. Raoul seems to be more of a rich man who was her childhood sweetheart but I don't know.. I know he's grown up but the Phantom seems so much more.. mature than him. I also love the secrecy and how they interact in Don Juan.

Hey, Kristi! I'm Carlotta_Loves_Roses on Different Story...remember me? Yeah, I love the seduction between. Raoul's type of love is cute, but Erik is so mature and protctive. I don't know...I love E/C.

I don't like E/C all that much. Their duets are great, but she did think of him as a father figure...

I agree with Kristine. I'm no E/C shipper. I love the '04 film, but I have Leroux purist tendencies and Music of the Night and PoNR are not part of the original. I think that's the problem with the '04 (and other recent versions of POTO)-- they water down Erik do a degree. He still kills, but he's sexy. The death's head has been replaced with the face of a god. People forget that Christine is afraid of the Phantom. She kissed him from pity and to save her true love, Raoul. There's my two cents.
I'm not an E/C phan, as I stated, but if it's well written and plausible, I'll read it. I loathe any stories that include Raoul-bashing with Christine flying back to Erik saying "Oh my one true love! I was wrong; take me back!" It's just so cliche and unreallistic. There are fewer possibilities with this ship since Leroux, Webber, and numerous, reputable others have sunk it.
